“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom. 1:16).

Are you ashamed of the gospel? Many would say, “Of course not.” Then why don’t you share it more with people who need it? We don’t share things that we are ashamed of. We love to gather in Bible studies and hang out with other Christians, but there are people who are going to hell who need the good news.

Paul says that the gospel is the power of God for salvation. Salvation is about right now, today, where the power of God is unleashed. There is power to rescue your marriage. There is power to help your son and daughter. There is power in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to get back to believing it. If not, we are wasting our time.
