Keys to finding and using the right video.

This past Father's Day needed something with humor, maybe even a little edge. Men love a good laugh. Christian video producer BlueFish had just the thing—;a video called Mandles. Spoofing a woman's love for candles, the video suggests that on Father's Day we give our dad a candle with a manly scent. Mandles, with such fragrances as urinal deodorizer and wet dog, offer a much needed testosterone boost to that once traditional gift for girls.

The video got some great laughs. But we were not done there—;we added a touch of our own. Dads received a small votive candle as they exited the sanctuary, each labeled with their own Mandle aroma.

The Visual Challenge

By now, we've all been challenged with the idea that our culture has become visual. Every conference or leadership magazine challenges church leaders to increase the use of media on Sunday mornings. And many of you have tried taking some first steps, and have received a positive response.
