Style: Southern gospel; compare to David Phelps, The Crabb Family, Gaither Vocal Band
Top tracks: "Wedding Music," "This Ole House/When the Saints Go Marching In"
Famous for lighting a fire in southern gospel's belly, Haase and his singing crew entertain a diverse demographic with slick showmanship, raw vocal talent, and overall nice guy manners. But though the outfit's snazzy stage show has extended their platform beyond traditional southern stages, the Grammy-nominated foursome here look back by re-recording favorites from The Cathedrals' classic catalog. Having performed for ten years with the legendary quartet whose charter members included his late father-in-law, Haase's tribute is fitting. Infusing vintage tunes with Dixieland, Mariachi, a capella and good ol' gospel, Signature Sound holds fast to the melodies and harmonies that made these songs great.
