Top tracks: “Jesus Saves,” “Give Us Your Courage,” “Here I Am to Worship”

In a nutshell: With the onslaught of Brit rock-influenced worship records released every year, it’s difficult to distinguish one from the other. And though Tim Hughes’ first live record sounds like the rest, the two-time Dove Award winner for Song of the Year has penned some of modern worship’s biggest tunes, giving his recording devices an upper hand. International favorites like “Beautiful One” and “Here I Am to Worship” are paired with new anthems like “Jesus Saves,” a song so obviously oriented for corporate praise it only takes one listen to memorize. Hughes knows his craft well, and Happy Day finally gives the songwriter a real-time platform to share his musical gems.
