AppointedGeoff Tunnicliffe, as the interim international coordinator and CEO for the next two years for the World Evangelical Alliance. Tunnicliffe was director of global initiatives for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. He succeeds Gary Edmonds, who resigned.

AppointedDebbie Brink, as executive director of the North American office of SAT-7, the international Christian broadcast ministry to the Middle East. Formerly, she was SAT-7’s vice president and chief development officer

AppointedRandall D. Isaac, as executive director of the American Scientific Affiliation, a national organization of Christians in science. Isaac most recently worked with IBM in silicon technology. He succeeds the retiring Donald W. Munro.

DiedArthur Lewis, missionary to Portugal, author, professor at Bethel University, and a translator of the New International Version of the Bible, in March. Lewis was 81.

Disbanding Christian music group Petra, after 33 years of ministry, by the end of 2005. The group has sold more than 7 million CDs, won four Grammy awards and 10 Dove awards, and was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. According to Christian Retailing, the group, formed in 1972 by Bob Hartman, “helped pave the way for the rock genre in the Christian music industry.”
